What got Charles into real estate?

From college, Charles was recruited by OppenheimerFunds. After two years, the company announced lay-offs; their first in history. Following his intuition, Charles volunteered to be laid off. It's early 2009, certainly not the ideal time to make any career moves. However, within a month he was a licensed real estate agent.

Why Charles?

He's an avid reader. Known as the professional always carrying a book. Reading dozens each year. Having studied sales, management, marketing, psychology, leadership, and public speaking, Charles has a knack "for getting it just right".

Charles is profoundly positive, upbeat, persistent, and honest. He yearns to ensure clients' terms are met, and expectations are consistently surpassed. He over promises and over-delivers. When negotiation on his client's behalf: Every 'no' is a 'maybe', and every 'maybe' a 'YES!'

Outside of real estate.

Grew up in a one square mile town on Long Island (East Williston). Began working at age 12 as a caddy. Played Division II college rugby. Resides in downtown Manhattan. Participates in a monthly dinner club. He follows the New York: Islanders, Jets, Mets, and Knicks. Hobbies include: running, hockey, cooking, and cycling. A long-term goal is to get his pilot's license.

In his words . . .
